A New School Year?

I can hardly believe that it is already a new school year and that I once again find myself standing in Winnipeg at the CMU campus. Last year, as you all clearly know, I did Outtatown (a program through CMU). At the beginning of last year I told myself that I would never come back to CMU after that year, I was of course going to go to school back home so I wouldn't be ridiculously broke when my University years were behind me. But, for many reasons I find myself here again and quite enjoying it thus far.
First of all, I should probably change the title to this blog considering I am no longer in Outtatown and it is no longer the school year of 08/09. But this will have to do for now until I get bored enough to figure out how to change it.
I left my home on Monday morning after a lovely weekend of camping with the family. I arrived here after 10 and moved in right away (I scored the bottom bunk). Orientation week has been great, the people here are very welcoming and I am looking forward to getting to know them better. I am especially looking forward to the later weeks when all the "where are you from, whats your name" questions are out of th way. They've actually got a pretty sweet little set up going on here. I have a faculty advisor and group that we will meet with every so often and its good to have a group that you can talk to about your same passions and your classes and what not. Even though I still have no idea about what I will want to major in, I know that I do want to learn more about International Development and it is good to know that I have that there to ask questions and have discussions.
For those of you wondering about volleyball (Katelyn), I have had at this point 2 try outs and I am SORE and oh does it feel good to play again. But, I like that feeling if being sore, some of you may know what I am talking about. But, I am still fairly rusty from not having played in over a year and I am really hoping that I will get into my groove again soon. Hopefully I will be able to practice some outside of team try outs and practices. I am hoping to make the team, I don't know yet and I don't know when we would find out.
It's the first day of classes tomorrow. Wish me luck as I start University, hopefully it doesn't take me took long to get back into the swing of doing homework.
