GUITAR!

Hey everybody!
So everything is going good here. We have gone on the canoe trip and have been at the retreat center for the week.
The canoe trip was great. There was amazing weather and the wind was always with us... which is good becuase not a lot of us had canoed before.
The first night it was really cold and I kept on waking up about every 15 minutes, so finally i got up and put as many layers on as possible, complete with all my rain gear and i decided to go sleep on a rock.
Then all this week we were learning about the history of the church and the history of the Bible. It was very interesting, although a lot of it was over my head, it was good. This weekend is a free weekend and i don't really know what to do. Some people are going to the gold coarse near by, but i didn't want to play becuase it was like $60 to play in total. That was a bit steep for me.
So now i am trying to learn guitar and my fingers are really hurting. Guitar is hard. I got some chord's down, but when i strum i don't know how to make it sound nice. haha. so i am having aq bit of fun with that.
Then next week we will be getting a new instructor, i am pretty excited for that. I don't know what the topic is going to be yet though.
So we are here for another week, then we will be heading into Winnipeg for the Urban Plunge. This is where we will be working in soup kitchens and hanging out on the streets of Winnipeg. am not really sure what it all entails yet, but i'll let you kow when i get to that point.
Then it is homestay weekend for thankgiving and then off to Alberta.
So that is all for now i think.
Its been busy and not so busy at times. We have been reading blue like jazz for one of our assignments, and it was pretty good. So everybody is busy with that.
Other than that we have been having a good time playing games and getting to know eachother.
Amanda and brad, i think that you would be proud of me in saying that i participated in a soccer game the other day... you know the sport you tried to teach me and i kind of failed. haha, it was actually fun.
